Soundproof Piping
For noise-sensitive environments, FK 200 pipes are available with sound insulation. The pipes are wrapped in a 2mm thick self-adhesive bitumen layer with a weight of 3.5 kg/m². Either one or two layers can be applied to achieve the desired level of sound reduction.
The insulation is especially effective when conveying materials that produce high-impact noise upon contact with steel surfaces, such as plastic granulate, pellets, finished components, or recycled materials. Bitumen enhances acoustic performance by increasing surface mass and dampening vibrations, helping reduce sound levels by approximately 5 to 12 dB.
