Export Manager, Grain Division

Export Manager to Serve Global Customers in the Agricultural Sector

Kongskilde Industries continues to grow! Therefore, we are now hiring an Export Manager responsible for developing our sales across our network of dealers and importers worldwide. This position will be an instrumental role within our Grain Division. Kongskilde Industries was founded on the principles of improving grain handling through pneumatic conveying. Since 1949, we have given growers and producers in the agricultural industry the machinery needed to transport, clean, and store grain efficiently.

In addition, global food production is a trending topic in today’s world, which has had a positive impact on our markets.

THE TASK

We are in a strong development phase. Therefore, we are in search of a new colleague with international sales/business experience and technical and/or commercial education and/or experience. A background or other knowledge of agriculture is a “must” as this position requires knowledge of the daily operation of farms around the world.

Furthermore, we welcome a strong robust personality with experience and taste for traveling and doing business across many different cultures. You must be a strong networker and display excellent communication both internally and externally as we cooperate with many different stakeholders in the Ag industry.

We are growing and plan to implement and develop many different activities in the coming years, which we want you to be a valuable part of.

THE JOB

This position offers large challenges and a very independent work environment in a dynamic and international growth-orientated company. We deliver solutions to transport, convey, clean and store grains from the agriculture sector worldwide. The Kongskilde Industries Grain Division consists of four subsidiaries and our global export department, located in Denmark. The activity level is high and consists of many different tasks in close cooperation with our grain sales team, both in Denmark and globally. The Export Manager will not have staff responsibilities and will report directly to the CCO of the Grain Division.

You will have commercial responsibility for a portfolio of countries in Europe (e.g.  Denmark) and must expect 50-80 travel days annually. Participation in exhibitions, customer days, dealer visits, dealer product training sessions, hosting guest/dealers at the Grain Academy, co-visit with dealers to farmers, regular communications and sales/marketing activities, quotations etc. towards dealers will be expected on a daily/weekly basis.

You will gain diverse job experience with many insightful colleagues across the organization and join a smaller yet solid global team working with a dedicated growth strategy while focusing on becoming an attractive niche provider of grain equipment globally.

Working / office location can be from anywhere in Europe and we like to encourage applications from other nationalities than Danish.

For the right person, we could offer many opportunities to develop professionally and personally.

Your primary task will be as follows:

  • Customer contact, optimization, quotations
  • Development, selection, and termination of dealers/importers
  • Planning of commercial and conceptual activities
  • Travel activities to customers in Europe, exhibitions etc.
  • Course leader support to customer seminars
  • Reporting, budgeting, and campaign launches
  • Perform product & sales training for our dealers/importers locally and at Grain Academy in Soroe

YOU

You must have international sales experience and general knowledge of the international agricultural industry or food industry. We prefer you to have experience and know-how when it comes to selecting, developing, and growing sales channels while reforming an existing international dealer network. You have a technical interest and understanding from your education and/or former career experience.

If you are a grain sales manager in the industry or looking for a similar position, this might be the perfect position to put your skillset into action! We expect you to be strong at giving presentations, have good negotiation skills, and display an international mindset and business acumen persona.

EDUCATION

To be successful in this position, you should have at least a bachelor-level education, good computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite), language skills, be trained in adapting new knowledge and articulating details both verbally and written – (e.g. conveying complex technical literature).

A degree in e.g., business, engineering, agronomics, or agriculture, could be a good entrance to the position, but above all, experience, past results, and personality matters most.

We imagine you are familiar with these traits.
